As a business owner, you may have considered some tactics on engaging your employees and keeping things interesting. There are plenty of event formats that can both align with business goals and provide a healthy environment for colleagues.
Corporate Event Management is when a company sponsors an event that targets its employees or clients. The aim of a corporate event may be to entertain or reward their staff, launch new products, establish business partnerships and connections or celebrate a company milestone. Planning a corporate event should revolve around bringing the target audience together (employees, clients, potential business partners, sponsors) and reflect the company’s main goals. As a team of Event Organisers, we've seen it all. Below we’ve listed the most common types of corporate events we work with. Appreciation Functions One of the most common work functions we plan for clients is appreciation events. Usually they are aimed to recognise and showcase employees’ achievements, or they may be put together to build tight partnerships with loyal clients. Holiday Parties During the festive season, every company should celebrate together with a work Christmas function. It certainly doesn’t have to be boring or work oriented! We always recommend companies take the time and effort to plan a fun and relaxing work holiday party for their employees each year. Product Launches A product launch will occur when a company releases a new product or extends their offered range. The anticipation and release of the new service, product or partnership is often celebrated with an event. The key to product launches is to have them marketed effectively to maximise brand exposure and attract the target audience of the service. Team Building Functions The main goal of a team building event is to strengthen the bonds between employees within a company. The function will be based around a number of exercises or activities that will help bring the employees closer and build good team qualities that they can then utilise within the business. It’s important during these functions to ensure the needs of the employees are being met.
